Our Piercing punches are manufactured from High Speed Steel (HSS), an alloy that combines several metals typically including tungsten, chromium, molybdenum, cobalt and others. This, combined with further heat treatment provides extreme strength in high-speed applications, even at elevated temperatures. It provides a longer life span than the traditional Hot Work Steel (HWS).
